This series is my Personal Sharing Series (PSS). For this PSS, I want to show my relationship between me and my sister—Karen. I chose to use hands as my subject because people use hands a lot to communicate with others. Thus I used different hand gesture to show my relationship with my sister and the way we communicate with each other

This piece is a psychological self-portrait which expresses two of my dominant characteristics—Indecisiveness and Ambivalence

The Artist’s Wife II    2010  Charcoal and acrylic on raw canvas ¶ 48” X 60” 

For this self-portrait, I chose to present my homage to one of my favourite figurative artists, Egon Schiele. The whole project was inspired by Kehinde Wiley. I chose one of the Egon Schiele’s works The Artist’s Wife and appropriated the figure’s pose.
